What does becoming a Wayist mean?

Becoming a Wayist means that you become cognitively aware of the fact that you are fulfilling the purpose of life--whereas before you were arriving at campus (in the university of life) and even attending some classes but without a sense of purpose and understanding what the course was all about. Without that sense, you have been attending the school for many semesters, many years and did well. Now, however, you have gained insight into what the course is all about. The mystery has vanished. A mini-enlightenment happened to you. You are surely one of the few seniors on campus because only seniors get to know these things. Before, you were on the Way, like all other beings, therefore you were a Wayist but didn't know it, like most other beings. Now you are a cognitive Wayist, that's the only difference. Because you know this, you see the path clearly. You can see through the veils of illusion that still blind most people. You see the curricilum for what it is. Death and birth is losing its grip of fear. You will grow out of the moral codes and culturally conditioned thinking of your society and develop your own code, your personal dharma. Now that you can see, you cannot not see. Now that you know, you cannot unknow it. You have reached a fairly advanced level of soul growth, and your path has changed permanently. Even in future lives, you will Know, and you will be different from the others.

Becoming a Wayist means that you have gained the spiritual consciousness to understand that the purpose of life is a process. You must feel your way around and determine your level, where you feel most comfortable, and then engage with the teaching at that level.

Just for interest sake. When people who are not ready read this page, says our primary text, they will either scoff at it, mock it, or just find it superfluous nonsense. In fact, the text also says that those who are ready fall into two categories: those who are initially disturbed, then amazed, then passionate, and those who immediately embrace the Way with all their heart and re-prioritize their lives. If you read this and you get it, then you Know it in your soul, and you get that feeling that nothing of this is new and has always been...then you have truly arrived. That is interesting in itself. The Upanishads teach the Wayist saying, "When the pupil is ready, the teacher will appear." That is one of the Laws of nature. What brought you here?

Becoming a Wayist means you will most probably start adapting your lifestyle (often, that happens subconsciously over time) to be more aware of your body (the teaching tells you why and how), more aware of who is in charge of your mind, and you will develop a deeper awareness of the Divine in all our neighbors, in all of nature.

It is important to get your hands on a copy of the Wayist primary text, the source book that we all use. There are several web sites, blogs and other little books dedicated to explaining the teaching--not that it needs explaining but there are so many lessons to learn from every page.
